Are you evaluating associate faculty this semester?
Did you know you can get paid for each observation? According to our Faculty Assembly contract, you can claim two hours of additional pay for each observation you complete.
Per section C.12.0 of our District/Faculty Assembly Agreement (p.30):
“Faculty carrying out observation and evaluation of associate faculty shall be compensated for 2.0 work hours (0.061 non-contractual non-teaching LHE) per observation at the applicable non-teaching non-contractual hourly rate.”
How? It’s easy!
Simply complete an Hourly Faculty Time Report and enter 2 hours for each evaluation. (For Assignment/Position, you can enter something like “Associate faculty evaluation of Jane Doe”.) That’s it! Sign, date, submit to your dean, and enjoy a little extra money for the holidays.
